We are very excited about the tennis project getting underway. While we tried to plan for each scenario and any associated cost, we have run into some issues that will change the total cost of the project, of which we want to make you aware and will require approval from the membership to move forward, per the bylaws. The Board is calling a Special Club Meeting on Monday, September 8th, at 6 pm at the SARC pavilion, where we will present information on our progress and the issues we have encountered, and will request the additional funds necessary to complete the project.
The board is working hard to pull together all of these details to share with the membership, so please try to have someone from your household attend to hear the information being presented and vote on the path forward.
If you are unable to attend, you may send in your vote via proxy.
Proxy Rules:
If you have any questions about the proxy form or rules, please contact the Club Secretary. Note: Failure to adhere to the proxy voting rules will render your proxy form invalid.
To conduct business of the Club, we must reach a quorum as defined by the SARC bylaws.
To constitute a quorum, members who are in good standing, as defined in Article III Section 1.d, representing ten percent (10%) of the entire membership must be present.
At all meetings of the Club, each membership of record shall be entitled to one (1) vote*. b. Any Member in good standing may be represented by a written proxy if unable to attend in person. However, a proxy will be considered valid only if confirmed by written authorization signed by the absentee Member and presented to the Secretary prior to the meeting.
